Police chase hitting 120 mph ends in Fountain County

FOUNTAIN CO., Ind. (WLFI) – A police chase that exceeded speeds of 120 miles per hour came to an end in Fountain County Tuesday afternoon.

Sheriff Bill Sanders said the pursuit started in the Brownsburg area, before traveling through Hendricks, Boone and Montgomery Counties.

Sanders said stop sticks were deployed on Interstate 74 in Fountain County twice before the SUV hit them and stopped a little near the Covington exit a after 4 p.m.

Sanders said a man was taken into custody and drugs and money were found in the vehicle.

The name of the man arrested has not yet been released.
