Structure fire on Earl Ave. causes several small explosions

The Lafayette Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Earl Avenue Thursday morning.

According to Lafayette Fire Chief Richard Doyle, they received a call of a fire at 11:40 a.m. A storage unit for Bowsher Heating and Cooling had caught fire and spread to gas cylinders causing several small explosions.

The fire is reported out with no injuries.
