Motorist drives onto Stadium Mall, damages grounds near Civil Engineering Building

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (The Exponent) – A motorist drove onto Stadium Mall and crashed into a bench in front of the Delon and Elizabeth Hampton Hall of Civil Engineering at 12:27 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The female driver was reportedly unfamiliar with Purdue’s campus and drove her car onto Stadium Mall. She then became confused, resulting in her accidental collision with a concrete bench located outside the entrance to the Civil Engineering Building. According to Purdue Police, she was not injured but the crash did result in property damage.
