LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A Friday morning crash in downtown Lafayette sent one woman to the hospital.

According to Lafayette Police Officer Scott Swick, a woman in a minivan was traveling south on Second Street when her vehicle ran a red light at Columbia Street. A man traveling west in a pickup truck on Columbia collided with the van.

The truck was forced into a cement flower planter in front of Lafayette Savings Bank. The van crashed into the building itself. While an air conditioning unit sustained damage, the building itself was not damaged.
