Don’t be scammed; attend the fraud seminar

TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – Telephone scams and identity theft are threats that are on the rise across the nation. Tippecanoe County law enforcement wants to help our community against such fraudulent activity.

Tuesday night is the last evening for a fraud seminar focused on older adults. Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Pat Harrington said it is the last presentation on Financial Crimes against Older Adults.

The event focuses on crimes such as telephone fraud, lottery fraud, and identity and medicare thefts. The presentation will include investigators from the Tippecanoe County Adult Protective Service.

The last presentation is Tuesday night at Westminster Village, 2741 N. Salisbury St., in West Lafayette beginning at 7 p.m.
