BATTLE GROUND, Ind. (WLFI) – On Saturday, May 3, Wolf Park will throw a birthday party unlike anything you’ve seen before.
The park officially opened for the season on Thursday, and every spring the park hosts a birthday party for its animals.
“We have one birthday party for all the wolves, the coyotes and the foxes, because wild babies are typically born in the spring. That way, they have the whole summer, a lot of spring and the fall to make their growth before the first winter stops in. Winter tends to be an endurance event for wild animals,” said Wolf Park head animal curator Pat Goodmann when she appeared on News 18 This Morning.
Instead of the traditional cakes, Goodmann said the wolves will eat frittatas. All park visitors, however, will be served cake.
The park is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Cake will be served at 2 p.m.
Wolf Park is located at 400 E. 800 North in Battle Ground.
