Police: Man wanted for armed robbery in Monticello

WHITE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Monticello.

The Monticello Police Department told News 18, that at 5:32 p.m. Friday a robbery occurred at the Lakes Federal Credit Union on Rickey Road in Monticello.

According to officers, a male wearing a dark colored ski mask and a dark colored sweatshirt entered the Credit Union and demanded money. Police report that the man displayed a dark colored handgun.

The individual fled with an undetermined amount of cash heading east in a green colored car towards the Norway area, according to Monticello police.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.

The Lakes Federal Credit Union is offering a $5,000 reward for information resulting in the conviction of the person or persons responsible for the robbery.
