WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Until the end of May, Purdue students can take advantage of an early-registration discount for the Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon and 5K.

Purdue officials said students will receive a discount through May 31. The registration fee for students is $45 for the half-marathon and $20 for the 5K. After May 31, the fees increase to $50 for the half-marathon and $23 for the 5K. Officials said there will be additional increases closer to the Oct. 19 event.

Manager of the runs, Don Carr, told News 18 in a press release that students planning to run should register before they leave campus at the end of the spring semester.

“When they return from the summer break, they will find that the registration fee is higher, and it continues to climb in September,” said Carr. “They shouldn’t wait.”

Although entry fees are nonrefundable, registration can be transferred to another person for a $10 fee, Carr noted.

The half-marathon and 5K is in its third year. The route begins and ends at Ross-Ade Stadium.
