CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Clinton Prairie is under investigation, according to Indiana State Police.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley confirmed Tuesday that ISP is investigating sexual battery at Clinton Prairie High School.

Last week, Clinton Prairie Schools Superintendent, Chris Sampson, told News 18 there is no evidence a student was sexually assaulted in a locker room.

Riley was limited in his comments, but did say the post is investigating a case of sexual battery that happened on school property between students. He could not confirm how many people are involved.

Riley added the Clinton County prosecutor is aware if the case, but it has not been forwarded yet.

The school released a statement Tuesday regarding the recent incident.

On April 25th, a report of a bullying situation had been submitted to school administration. At that time school officials contacted the local authorities. The individuals involved in this incident have been suspended pending expulsion. The matter is currently being investigated by the Indiana State Police.
