Police on scene for suspicious package on campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Law enforcement is at Purdue University for reports of a suspicious package.

Purdue Police Department, West Lafayette Police Department and the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office have all reported to the scene for a suspicious package at the Purdue Memorial Union. The call came in just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers confirm that portions of the Union and also the Stewart Center have been evacuated.
