LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Bring the family and come celebrate National Train Day on Saturday in Lafayette.

Saturday, May 10 is the National Train Day Celebration being held at Lafayette’s Historic Big Four Depot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is offering family friendly activities. Tippecanoe County Historical Association will have its History on Tour trailer, a new addition this year. The Central Indiana Ntrak Model Train Club and CiNTrak, a third year participant, will set up model trains for all to enjoy.

The event will include train memorabilia celebrating our county’s love of trains. Kid-friendly handouts, coloring books, buttons and stickers from Amtrak will be available.

Hop the track and get to the Depot Saturday for some family fun.

Organizers said, it’s “fun for train enthusiasts of all ages.”
