Construction around Purdue’s Campus to begin soon


WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Several construction projects on or around Purdue’s campus are shaping up for the summer.

Starting May 19, Stadium Avenue will be closed between N. University Street and Northwestern Avenue for infrastructure improvements. Crews will be improving sidewalks and curbs during the project. Drivers are advised to use Cherry Lane as as alternate route.

Starting in early June, Grant Street will be resurfaced between Northwestern Avenue and Wood Street. Grant will open to traffic during the project, but expect traffic delays.

Both of the projects are expected be finished by early August.

On Purdue’s campus, renovations will begin on Grissom Hall, right off of Grant Street. This is Phase One of the College of Engineering Growth project.

All Grissom Hall staff will be moved to Wang Hall for about one year. Parking on the west side of Grissom will be unavailable starting May 19.
