Dawkins to transfer from Purdue football program

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Sophomore running back to be Dalyn Dawkins is transferring from the Purdue football program after one season with the team.

Purdue confirmed to Sports 18 that Dawkins was indeed leaving the program to join Colorado State. Dawkins was recruited by the Rams out of Trinity High School in Louisville, Ky., but chose the Boilermakers instead.

As the nephew of former NFL safety Brian Dawkins, he played sparingly in a freshman year that saw him record 115 yards on the ground and 84 out of the backfield.

Dawkins will have to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer rules.
