White County K-9 spends the night in hospital


WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A White County Sheriff’s K-9 spent Thursday night at the hospital.

Sheriff Pat Shafer said Bacon, a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois, was training with his handler, Deputy David Rozzi. During training, Bacon started to have a difficulty breathing.

Bacon was taken to a Monticello veterinarian, but was transferred to the Purdue Small Animal Hospital in West Lafayette. He was being monitored there overnight.

As of Friday evening, Bacon remains at the Vet Hospital. Shafer said Bacon is improving.
