Boilers get NFL call after draft

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Cody Webster, Purdue’s All-Big Ten punter, has been invited to the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie mini-camp, according to a tweet from his agent at CRM Sports Managment.

“Being the position that I’m in, being a punter, any opportunity you get to just get that opportunity in the NFL is great as a punter. So, that’s really what I’m looking for,” Webster says.

Former Boiler quarterback-turned safety Rob Henry signs as an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders. Bruce Gaston signs as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals. Gaston’s mate on the defensive line, Greg Matta signs with the Denver Broncos.
