WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Purdue Sports) – Friday’s Purdue-Iowa baseball game at Alexander Field has been rained out and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday at noon.

Gates opened at 6 p.m. and the Boiler Block Party beer garden was open during the rain delay. The beer garden will stay open until 8 p.m. tonight and will not be part of Saturday’s doubleheader.

Fans that had tickets for Friday’s game can use the tickets for either or both games of the Saturday doubleheader.

On Thursday, Purdue (12-36, 5-17 Big Ten) dropped its seventh consecutive game overall, ninth straight in Big Ten play, and sixth straight to Iowa dating back to May 2012.

The Hawkeyes (28-20, 9-13 Big Ten) clinched their first Big Ten Tournament berth since 2010.

Purdue’s senior day ceremony will be held between games of the doubleheader Saturday.
