Carnival workers arrested for animal neglect

SULLIVAN COUNTY (WISH) – Indiana State Police arrest two carnival workers for animal neglect.

Police found two miniature horses in a homemade trailer hooked to the back of a Ford pickup truck on US 41 near State Road 54. The horses were in poor health, without food or sufficient air flow into the trailer.

Sullivan County Humane Society transported the horses to the Sullivan County Animal Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested Steven Toth,21, and Joel Baldwin, 43, for animal neglect. The pair worked for Modern Midways Carnival of Miami, Florida. The horses were en-route to Chicago, Illinois.

The trailer attached to the pickup truck was impounded.

Toth and Baldwin are being held in the Sullivan County Jail.
