LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Another portion of Sagamore Parkway could be under construction in the near future.

Tuesday morning, the Lafayette Board of Works approved advertisement for bids on the third phase of the Sagamore Parkway Project. City Engineer Jenny Leshney said after a long winter, they are looking to continue repairs from Home Depot to McCarty Lane.

“What we’re doing is getting pricing to do an overlay, if that is financially feasible, to patch that for a couple of years until we’re able to do more construction of the center piece,” said Leshney.

There is no word yet on how much this phase would cost the city. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
