WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The 22-year-old White County man accused of stabbing his mother and half-sister to death will not face the death penalty.

David Rodenbarger faced murder charges in connection with the deaths of his mother Michelle Haskins and his 6-year-old half sister Jillian in February 2013.

Tuesday, the White County Prosecutor’s Office filed paperwork showing their intent to seek a sentence of Life without Parole.

As News 18 has already reported, seeking the death penalty could have cost the county up to a million dollars.
