LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Members of the United States Air Force Band will be visiting the Long Center for a Celtic concert.

The Celtic Aire concert featured more than 90 minutes of traditional Celtic music as well as some pop music covers. The five-man band has been together since 2007 and has played overseas for troops.

Thursday night was the band’s third stop on their tour, which will concludes Friday night in Chicago.

Senior Master Sgt. Dennis Hoffman said the band’s goal is to spread joy and patriotism.

“I love the music that I get to perform with Celtic Aire. I get to play music that makes people smile and makes them happy. When we perform for troops overseas as our deployment mission, we get to bring a little taste of home to those troops,” said Hoffman.

After the tour, the band will head back to Washington, D.C. Saturday for a Memorial Day event.
