NW Ind. man sentenced for cocaine, drunk driving

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A northwest Indiana man has been sentenced in Tippecanoe County for cocaine possession and drunk driving.

Wilbert Thomas, 58, of Gary, Ind. was stopped while driving in June 2013. During his booking, officers said a cigarette laced with cocaine was found.

Thursday, Thomas was sentenced to 180 days executed. Thomas was previously convicted of operating while intoxicated twice in Lake County.

Thomas also had a 2010 drug conviction in Porter County.
