FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) — Community Schools of Frankfort Superintendent Don DeWeese said the Frankfort Police Department notified him that Tom Weeks, a history teacher and boys basketball coach at Frankfort High School, is under investigation and could be possibly charged.

DeWeese would not specifically say what the investigation is about or what charges he could be facing. DeWeese said the school has contacted all families believed to be involved. He said the school is cooperating with police during the investigation.

DeWeese said Weeks did not resign and is still employed by the school. DeWeese says the school board has not taken action yet.

Frankfort Police Department previously said they received information Monday, May 26 of possible misconduct allegations between a Frankfort High School teacher and a student.

Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon described the investigation is “very active and ongoing.”

Bacon said since the investigation is still underway, no other information pertaining to the possible suspect will be released at this time.
