INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Chicago’s Joakim Noah and Indiana’s Paul George received the most votes on this year’s NBA all-defensive team.
Noah, chosen as the best defensive player in the league earlier this year, received 105 votes for the first team. George, who is considered one of the best two-way players in the league, finished with 65 first-team votes.
The rest of the first team were Clippers guard Chris Paul, Oklahoma City forward Serge Ibaka and Golden State swingman Andre Iguodala.
The second team consisted of Miami forward LeBron James, Houston guard Patrick Beverley, Chicago guard Jimmy Butler, San Antonio forward Kawhi Leonard and Pacers center Roy Hibbert, the runner-up to Noah for the league’s top defender.
The teams are selected by a panel of 123 sports writers and broadcasters.
