WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Starting Monday, drivers in West Lafayette will need to avoid Salisbury Street south of Sagamore Parkway.
City officials said the southbound lanes of Salisbury Street will be closed for about a month while crews work on the Navajo Street intersection.
City leaders said once work on the southbound lanes finishes in early July, the northbound lanes will close.
Drivers will not be able to turn west on Navajo Street during construction.
Officials want the intersection to be more handicap-accessible. Synchronized lights will also be installed to help traffic flow.
The entire project is set to be finished in August before students head back to school.
