WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The Purdue football team will pay homage to the fans during this season’s Homecoming.

Season ticket holders and student season ticket holders can send in their social media photos and some will be featured inside the logo. The team’s helmets will bear social media pictues sent in from fans during the Homecoming game against Iowa on September 27. The Social Media game is part of Purdue’s fan engagement strategy.

Assistant athletic director for marketing and ticketing Chris Peludat says he hopes the Social Media game connects the fans with the players.

“We’re not aware of fans in college at least being incorporated into a helmet or uniform. We’re excited about that,” said Peludat.

The final date for fan submissions is June 12.
