Documents claim teacher, student relationship started a year ago

FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) – The relationship between between a Frankfort teacher and student was going on for a year before his arrest, according to court documents.

The Clinton County Prosecutor said Frankfort High School history teacher Tom Weeks’ wife reported the relationship to police. Cortni Weeks told police she found suspicious messages on her husband’s phone last week.

She said her husband denied ever sending the messages that said, “just please think of me holding and touching” and “I’m so tired of not being with you nightly.”

Police met with the student who told officers the relationship started after an open gym last summer. The student said she went to Weeks’ home where they starting kissing and having sex. The student was 16 years old when the relationship started.

Weeks has been charged with six counts of child seduction. He was arrested and placed on paid leave in late May.

Weeks has a trial date set for Sept. 23, 2014.
