LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Disc golf is a sight to see at parks around the state. But here in Lafayette, it’s being played at Murdock Park.

Members of the Wabash Disc Golf Club were out Saturday morning playing an age-old sport, but with a twist.

They used modified frisbees to play golf. Using the drivers, mid-ranges and putters, each player tries to get their disc into a basket across the course. The player with the lowest score wins.

It may look easy, but disc golfer Wes Evans said don’t let your eyes deceive you.

“In disc golf, if you look around you have tons of trees, tons of up and down undulation with the earth and that really adds a technical aspect to the game that you really don’t find in ball golf,” said Evans.
