One arrested after meth lab discovered at Lafayette home

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Police made one arrest after discovering a meth lab at a home in Lafayette early Saturday morning.

According to police, officers were investigating a report of a possible meth lab at 1407 Washington St., just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Officers witnessed Harold W. Bucher carrying a smoking bag to a curb side trash can.

Police then made contact with Bucher and during the course of the investigation discovered an active meth lab. The lab was later confirmed by the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression team.

Bucher was taken into custody and arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine and an illegal drug lab.
