Reports of shots fired in Lafayette neighborhood

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police are investigating after multiple shell casings were found in a Lafayette neighborhood.

Police confirmed the casings were discovered in the 900 block of S. Ninth Street.

Resident Travis Reed told News 18 he heard multiple shots being fired sometime around 2 a.m.

Police said no injuries and no property damage were reported during the incident.
