CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A Kokomo woman is dead after a crash Tuesday in southeastern Carroll County.

The wreck happened just after 2 p.m. on State Road 29, north of Burlington.

Sheriff’s deputies said a sedan and a pickup truck both drove around a car that was turning right. Investigators said the truck hit the sedan as the car made an abrupt left turn trapping the driver, 59-year-old Nancy Tyler.

Tyler was extricated and airlifted to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where she died from her injuries.

The driver of the truck, Kevin Redding, 28, of Flora, was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in Kokomo with unknown injuries.

At this time, deputies said no one has been cited, and the investigation is ongoing.
