P.J. Thompson enthusiastic about Purdue future

P.J. at All-Star

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue’s 2014 commit P.J. Thompson is ready to show up on campus and get started on the basketball court.

“This has been my dream since I was a little kid, like freshman in high school or even earlier than that. So, for it to be less than a week away is just crazy,” Thompson said.

The soon to be freshman is joining a Boiler program that is down a point guard after Ronnie Johnson’s transfer.

“Whether it’s being a starting point guard, second point guard or third point guard, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m just glad to be a part of the team, and of course I’m going to battle and fight for everything I get,” Thompson said.

The former Brebeuf star is nursing a foot injury, but expects to play in the Indiana vs. Kentucky All-Star game on June 14 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
