Crawfordsville woman sentenced for dealing heroin

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLF) – A Crawfordsville woman was sentenced to 30 years for having 75 individual bags of heroin.

Tawanha Price, 29, was arrested after for a traffic stop in May of 2013, She was driving with a passenger. Price admitted she had heroin, pulled out a bag from under her bra and turned it over to police.

About $11,000 cash was also found in the car.

In August 2013, Price pleaded guilty to dealing in a narcotic drug, three grams or more in exchange for a plea deal. She was sentenced to 30 years, 14 in the Department of Corrections, six years in Community Corrections and 10 years of probation.
