South bleachers being demolished at Ross-Ade

Ross-Ade Demolition

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The bleachers on the south end of Ross-Ade Stadium are in the process of being torn down.

Demolition of the south bleachers began earlier this week and demolition is expected to be finished early next week. The bleachers were more than 70 years old and originally were in Lambert Fieldhouse.

Plans for the future of the south section of the stadium are still in the works. Associate Athletics Director Tom Schott said a survey is currently taking note of student ideas.

“Really, right now, anything is on the table. It could be some high-end tents. It could be pagodas. It could be picnic tables. Any of those or a multiple combination of those. There will be food and beverage stations certainly. We will wait and see what the designer comes up with,” said Schott.
