CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Two people are airlifted following a crash in Carroll County Saturday night.

The crash happened just after 6:30 Saturday night on State Road 25 near County Road 800 West.

Police aren’t releasing many details at this time, but Yolanda Castillo witnessed the accident. She told News 18 a white car was traveling west on County Road 800 West and for an unknown reason ran the stop sign.

Castillo said she witnessed the white car then strike a red car traveling north on State Road 25. The red car, which had four passengers inside, then rolled into the ditch.

News 18 witnessed two helicopters land at the scene, and transport two of those passengers to unknown hospitals.

The white car was carrying two passengers at the time of the incident. They were being treated in ambulances at the scene.

The northbound lane of State Road 25 was closed for several hours, as crews worked to clean up the scene.

News 18 will continue to gather more information as it becomes available.
