Indy woman sentenced for pointing gun at ex

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — An Indianapolis women is sentenced to five years in prison after pointing a gun at her boyfriend.

Prosecutors said Shannon Robertson is convicted of attempted battery by means of a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and pointing a fire arm.

As News 18 previously reported last July, Shannon Robertson send a text message to her ex-boyfriend Brent Harmon to lure him outside. When Harmon went outside, Robertson pointed a gun at him.

Robertson later admitted she intended to shoot Harmon and then herself.

Robertson has previous convictions of public indecency, criminal mischief and prostitution.

In addition, Robertson will also have to undergo mental health treatment and one year supervised probation.
