LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – While you’re filling up on great food this weekend at the Taste of Tippecanoe, don’t forget to grab a local brew from People’s Brewing Company to wash it all down.

People’s Brewing Company is getting their line up ready for the Taste of Tippecanoe.

“We’ll have some Moundbuilder IPA, which is always one we bring with us, Farmer’s Daughter Wheat, Mr. Brown, Sgt. Bravo Pale Ale, and we’re still trying to decide what that fifth beer will be. But it will be something fun,” co-owner Chris Johnson said.

Whatever you’re taste, Johnson said they’ll have the perfect beer to it wash down.

“One of the best things with food is beer, so we try to bring a good mix that will fit with a lot of the different foods that will be down there,” Johnson said.

Johnson said this will be the brewery’s fifth year at the Taste and the second for their new tap truck. He said it’s getting a makeover for the big event.

“It’s getting wrapped today, so it will be even a new tap truck for tomorrow,” Johnson said. “They’re finishing up this morning, and we’ll have it all branded up and ready to go.”

Johnson said the Taste is a fun way to get out of the brewery and toast people in the community.

“Our brewers and people from the back come out and pour beers. It’s just a good time to see everybody and be face-to-face. Usually we’re in the brewery, so it’s nice to get out and see the people in the community,” Johnson said.

With the food and brews, Johnson said it gives the vendors a chance to meet too.

“A lot of those restaurants are clients of ours, so it’s fun to kind of hang out with them too and show everybody a good taste of Lafayette,” Johnson said.

People’s will be inside the beer garden at corner of Fourth and Main streets. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
