INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Secretary of State Connie Lawson is urging residents to update their voter registrations as she continues trimming outdated information from the state’s list of voters.
Lawson announced Thursday she will begin sending a second round of postcards to addresses before removing names from the state’s list. She’s sending out the second round to addresses where postcards were returned to her office after the first round of mailings.
If voters do not respond to the second round of mailings, their information will be considered outdated by the state and their names removed from the state rolls.
Voters who receive a second postcard should return it by July 24. Lawson said that voters should trust in the integrity of the state’s elections.
