BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – There will be 20 minute closures on Interstate 65 in Boone County Thursday night into Friday morning, INDOT officials said.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, I-65 in both directions will have 20 minute closures beginning Thursday at 9 p.m. and continuing until Friday at 6 a.m. Crews from Reith-Riley Construction Company, Inc. will be setting stainless steel towers on the State Road 39 Bridge over the interstate.

In addition, INDOT said I-65 will have lane restrictions during the day for the remainder of the week. Only one lane of I-65 in both directions will be open.

This phase of work is expected to be complete by Tuesday, July 1.

As a safety reminder to motorists, INDOT said follow the posted work zone speed limit and use caution when traveling through a construction zone.
