GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WISH) — A 17-year-old Greencastle teen died when he was crushed by a back-hoe in Putnam County Monday afternoon.

Investigators say Riley Sutherlin was working with family members installing new grain bins on the farm located on County Road 350 South around 2 p.m.

Sutherlin was trying to drive over a pile of dirt, when he lost control of the tractor and it flipped, throwing the teen.

Medics arrived, but Sutherlin died at the scene.

Sutherlin had just finished his junior year at Greencastle High School.
