LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police arrested a man early Tuesday morning after he was accused of stabbing two women.

Officers were called to 1009 Ferry St. in Lafayette for reports of someone yelling “call the police.”

When the first officer arrived on the scene, he saw a black male running away from the home.

Officers later arrested that man, Roshod Mitchell, after two women were found with stab wounds. Police said one of the victims had a one-inch laceration to her hand and the other victim had several cuts to her hand.

Both victims were treated on the scene.

Mitchell was arrested for battery while armed with a deadly weapon, domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime.
