Man on life support after shooting at mobile home

PAOLI, Ind. (AP) — State Police say a second person wounded in a triple shooting at a southern Indiana mobile home is on life support.

25-year-old Cory Michael Harris was one of three people shot at a mobile home north of Paoli on Monday. Harris suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital.

56-year-old Nicholas Fields of Paoli died Monday. A third man, 29-year-old Daniel Smitson, suffered a gunshot wound to the mouth and also was taken to University of Louisville Hospital.

State police initially said Harris had died Monday evening but corrected his status Tuesday.

Police continue to investigate the shootings and have asked anyone with information on the incident to call the State Police’s Jasper post.
