LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — If you’re planning on “Moseying” down Main Street next month, plan on going home a bit sooner.
Tuesday morning the Lafayette Board of Works approved a change in the length of time the event will take place. Organizers said Mosey will still begin at 6 p.m., but will end at 11 p.m. instead of midnight.
The organizers want to end the event sooner to keep kids out of trouble late at night. But no need to worry, organizers said you won’t miss out on any of the usual fun.
“We just kind of condensed the times between acts, and we’re going to be starting some of the stages a little bit sooner,” Mosey co-founder Steve Bultinck said. “So, the people are going to be able to enjoy it all. It will just end an hour earlier.”
Road closures will now begin at 3:30 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. to allow more time for setup.
The next Mosey Down Main Street is scheduled for Saturday, July 12.
