Linwood Showdown Ride

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – More than 100 riders took part in the 8th annual Linwood Showdown Ride Saturday afternoon.

Riders got their start at the Conservation Club of Tippecanoe County before traveling around the county.

The event raises money for the Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club. Funds will go toward new programs and help provide academic support for students in the club.

“Some kids struggle and we ride around in $30,000 to $40,000 motorcycles everyday, and we don’t really think about that,” said event coordinator Gary Wolf. “So we’re just hear to try to help them out a little bit.”

Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club event director Barry Richard said he appreciated the community’s support.

“It goes a long way to saying, hey we recognize the needs and service of that particular agency, and we’re standing behind them and we’re going to help them,” said Richard.

The ride finished back at the Conservation Club and concluded with a live auction. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
