Food Finders receives milk donation

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Food Finders Food Bank is making room in their coolers for a large donation.

Prairie Farms Dairy dropped off 500 gallons of milk this morning to the Lafayette food bank. The milk will be distributed to the public Tuesday afternoon at their mobile pantry in the Market Square parking lot.

Half of the milk is going to their mobile pantry in Kokomo, Ind. Prairie Farms is also making deliveries to food banks in 16 other states.

Food Finders executive director Katy Bunder said the timing of the donation could not have been better.

“I am so grateful to Prairie Farms. I mean, it’s such a nice gift. They contacted us. It’s just a great gift from their company, and we really appreciate it,” said Bunder.

The milk will be distributed beginning at 5 p.m. in the Market Square parking lot off of Greenbush Street. There is a limit of one gallon per household.
