TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – The window for Independent candidates to file paperwork to run for office this November closed at noon Monday.

Independent Ken Rhodes filed paperwork Monday morning to run for Fairfield Township Board. Rhodes is currently on the township board. He got 214 signatures to be placed on the ballot.

Other candidates for Fairfield Township Board are Republicans M. Allen Nugent, John Parker and Shane Weist. Democrats caucused Ashley Smith as a candidate last week.
