Carl Landry talks to News 18 This Morning about basketball camp

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Coming up at the end of July, kids have the rare opportunity to have their basketball skills be honed by a current NBA player. Former Boilermaker and current Sacramento Kings power forward Carl Landry will be hosting his basketball camp from Wednesday, July 23 to Friday, July 25.

The camp is in its sixth year. “I love doing the camp because I love interacting with kids, giving back to the community and teaching the fundamentals of the game,” said Landry when he appeared on News 18 This Morning.

Boys and girls of all skill levels from the ages of 7 to 17 are invited to attend the three-day camp which will be held at West Lafayette Jr.-Sr. High School.

When asked why he holds the camp in Greater Lafayette, Landry replied, “This is where it all started. It definitely feels good to come back and get a chance to interact with some of the current [Purdue] players.”

The Carl Landry basketball camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 23 to July 25. Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A. The camp costs $125 per child. Sibling discounts are available.
