WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A man who ran from White County Sheriff’s deputies after a domestic dispute Saturday, has been found.

White County Sheriff Pat Shafer said the man was arrested on an unrelated charge Sunday afternoon in Carroll County.

Shafer said the search for the man began after a call of a domestic dispute came in around 3:45 p.m. Saturday from a Monon residence.

He said when police arrived, a woman told them a man at the home had taken off with her car. Less than an hour later, deputies saw the vehicle around Springboro Road. White County deputies tried to pull the car over, but the driver took off.

Shafer said eventually, the driver stopped the car in the middle of the road, and took off running. Before stopping the car, Shafer said he threw drug paraphernalia out the window of the car.

Right now, deputies are not releasing the identity of the man involved. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
