LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Crews were out meeting with business owners and Lafayette residents Tuesday afternoon discussing construction that will begin this Sunday on Sagamore Parkway.

The third phase will re-surface the road from the Home Depot entrance to McCarty Lane.

Engineers said crews will be working from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. and are asking drivers to avoid the area.

“There will be block to block closures in one direction,” City Engineer Jenny Leshney said. “There may be times where you can’t go southbound at night on Kossuth and McCarty. We will advertise that. There will be plenty of signage and detour routes.”

The project is scheduled to take about three weeks to complete.
