How you can volunteer at Zoo Run Run

News 18 This Morning Zoo Run Run interview

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – With the largest preregistration it has ever seen, Columbian Park’s Zoo Run Run needs volunteers now more than ever.

Event coordinator Cory Ahlersmeyer appeared on News 18 This Morning and said, “We’re up about 100 runners from where we were last year, so the demand for volunteers is even higher.”

Volunteers are needed to man barricades, water stations and registration tables.

Ahlersmeyer said the zoo still needs about 20 to 30 volunteers.

“It’s one of the largest 5Ks in the area, so getting everyone involved and making this a community event is what makes it [so special.]”

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, pancake breakfast and goodie bag.

If you would like to volunteer, you can either go online, call 765-807-1545 or stop by the zoo which is located at 1915 Scott St. in Lafayette.
