Twin Lakes Schools make updates

MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) – The Twin Lakes School Corporation is getting a few updates just in time for school to start next month.

Crews have been busy making improvements and maintaining each of the schools.

Superintendent Tom Fletcher said the gym floor at Twin Lakes High School is being refinished, and the auxiliary gym is being remodeled.

Staggs Gym at Twin Lakes Middle School is getting a new ceiling and P-A system.

Fletcher said most of the fixes are routine maintenance, but said everyone is working to make sure the schools are in tip top shape.

“We’re trying to make sure that our schools are ready and that they’re air conditioned and they’re comfortable when the kids come back in August,” said Fletcher.

Flectcher said the money for the improvements is coming from the Capital Projects Fund.

He said everything will be finished when school starts in August. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
